Expanded Music Distribution

I have recently purchased a plan with DistroKid and uploaded Taciturn Headphonetics. You can now listen to it on sites/apps like Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

Listen to music on another platform? It will likely be there too, if not in the near futureβ€”some sites can take a little longer to process things.

Comments on Taciturn Headphonetics Song Titles

1. "Soren's Cinnamon" - This refers to a quotation I came across in Colin Brown's Philosophy and the Christian Faith, where Soren Kierkegaard's work is described as "Just a bit of cinnamon." The footnote for this quotation reads: "Cf. H. Diem Kierkegaard's Dialectic of Experience, Eng. tr. by H. Knight (Oliver & Boyd, 1959), p. 157."

2. "Table Tennis" - Pretty self-explanatory, as the song includes sound effects of people playing ping-pong.πŸ“

3. "I Only See Hot-Air Balloons in the Morning" - When I worked at The Home Depot and had early-morning shifts (which began at 6:45 a.m.!), I observed hot-air balloons fairly often on the drive to work. "Galaxy" by The Numb Project, released in 2003, uses a loop that sounds very similar if not identical to one of the guitar ones in my song. This was a coincidence. πŸŽˆ

4. "Supervenience" - This is a technical term in philosophy of mind. I became acquainted with it through the book Whatever Happened to the Soul? Scientific and Theological Portraits of Human Nature, edited by Warren S. Brown, Nancey Murphy, and H. Newton Malony. πŸ€―

5. "How It's Made" - Just a reference to the television show. I like to imagine that music like this would be on it, but perhaps I am wrong. πŸ“Ί

6. "Cosmo's Space Derby" - The name of a ride at Galaxyland, an amusement park in West Edmonton Mall. πŸŽοΈ

7. "Submariner" - It's a cool word! The word "submarine" is nice, but "submariner" might be even better. πŸ€Ώ

8. "The Milve Raceway" - The name of a pre-made park in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. πŸ

9. "History, as Understood from Its Endpoint" - Refers to the eschatological theology of Wolfhart Pannenberg.

10. "Dragon Sunnies" - Inspired by Lord Cinderbottom, a dragon from the video game series Peggle. I had Peggle Nights in mind in particular.

11. "Rainier Dog With the Yellow Hat" - A reference to the children's book The Sailor Dog by Margaret Wise Brown, illustrated by Garth Williams. πŸΆ

12. "Tony Hawk's Snowskater" - A play on words of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, justified by the icy and sad sounds of the song. πŸ›Ή

13. "Railroad Town" - Paying homage to Sutherland, a neighbourhood in Saskatoon, which, as you might imagine, is known for its railroad. πŸš†

14. "Fireworks Galaxy" - It's all about space with this one! πŸŒŒ

CDs Now Available

🌌 My new album is now available on compact disc for $10. Only a few copies of this first edition have been created, which come shrink-wrapped in a cardboard jacket. πŸ’Ώ

This is the first time I have had my CDs manufactured. In the past, I have made them at home using cardstock paper, CD labels, and Nero CoverDesigner software.

If you would like a copy, it is available on Bandcamp. Alternatively, you can purchase from me directly. Thank you!
